Toronto man to appear in court for shooting incident on Kingston Road and Woodbine Avenue

On Sunday, Jan., 6, 2019 Toronto police were called to a shooting incident around Woodbine Avenue and Kingston Road about 02:30 p.m.
According to Toronto Police 55 division, “- an Audi was stopped at a red light, westbound on Kingston Road at Woodbine Avenue, when it was approached from behind by a black Mercedes. The Mercedes came to a stop behind the Audi. A male suspect exited the Mercedes and approached the passenger side of the Audi. He had a firearm in his hand and began to shoot inside the Audi, striking two victims.”
After fleeing the scene of the shooting, the driver of the Mercedes was involved in a collision on Queen Street East.
Two of the shooting victims were taken to a Toronto city hospital where they were treated for their injuries.
On March 27, 2019 a remaining male suspect involved in the shooting was taken into police custody and charged with multiple counts of criminal activities, including attempted murder.
Responding officers located two of the males who fled from the Mercedes. A total of three firearms were seized.
According to the Toronto Police, “He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, March 29, 2019, at College Park Courts, Courtroom 501, at 10 a.m.”
